Hawos Oktagon has 9 settings. You can adjust the fineness of the ground flour using the adjustment lever between 1 and 9. You can grind 125 grams in 1 minute at the 1st setting, and approximately 250 grams at the 4th and 5th settings. As you increase the setting, the grinding speed will also increase correspondingly. To ensure the longevity of your mill, we recommend not setting it below the 1st setting, as the friction of the stones against each other at a lower setting is not healthy for your machine. After deciding on your setting, you can add your grains to the hopper and operate your grinder with the on/off button. When no grain is left in the mill, you will hear the sound of the stones rubbing against each other. Turn off your mill once all the grain is ground.
