Coated with a layer of hard chrome between 8 to 10 microns that provides protection against corrosion.
The surface hardness of the edges increases between 3 to 4 HRC thanks to this layer.

NOTE:
If the thickness of the sharpening edge, i.e., the edge of the knife, has thickened too much, it needs to be thinned down to between 0.4 to 0.6 mm.
If the knife overheats during sharpening, it alters the structure of the steel, reducing its corrosion resistance and hardness. As a result, it may also cause you to lose the knife's edge retention ability.
The sharpening process should be applied flawlessly from heel to tip, creating a fine burr on the edge of the knife.
To finish the sharpening process, this fine burr/debris formed at the cutting tip should be removed.
If the burr formed on the edge is not carefully removed, the sharpness and dullness resistance of your knife can be significantly compromised.
The knife's surface should have a straight cutting line; additionally, a notched or fragmented edge can lead to the knife breaking.
Knives should not be left exposed to high-corrosion substances like saltwater for too long.
