Point to Consider When Brewing Coffee with Siphon (Syphon)

  • Before preparing your coffee, soak the filter inside the siphon in hot water for 30 seconds. This process will help you achieve a firmer filtration. When adjusting temperature changes in the siphon's heater, ensure the device is neither too hot nor too cold. Remember that heat reductions should be done gently, not abruptly.


Ingredients for Siphon (Syphon) Coffee Recipe

  • 25 gr. medium-finely ground coffee
  • 400 ml. water
  • 1 siphon coffee device

How to Make the Best Coffee Recipe with Siphon (Syphon) Brewing?

  • Place the lower part of the Syphon, which you preheated with hot water and dried well, in place and turn on the heater.
  • Properly position the filter in the upper part of your siphon device and attach the hook underneath to the tube part of the device.
  • Place the upper chamber of the siphon on top of the lower chamber but leave it slightly ajar. This allows air in the upper chamber to escape and prevents your coffee from boiling over suddenly.
  • When the water in the lower chamber is about to boil, position the upper chamber upright. Use a long stick to reduce the water's temperature to prevent the boiling water from burning the coffee. The desired temperature at this point is 94 degrees.
  • Pour the ground coffee into the upper chamber and stir using only a 3-second forward and backward motion. Ensure the coffee is fully mixed and remove the stick.
  • After stirring the coffee, reduce the temperature of the heater under the siphon. Approximately at the 45th second, stir your coffee again with the stick for 3 seconds and remove the stick.
  • When you reach the 90th second, stir your coffee once more with the stick. Like the others, this stirring process should last only 3 seconds, and then turn off the heater underneath.
  • The dripping process should take about 45 seconds. When the coffee and water mixture in the upper chamber is completely finished, gently remove the upper chamber. Ensure that the upper chamber loosens on its own.
