Why should we grind our own flour? Of course, it's cheaper than buying from the market, but nothing compares to freshly ground flour: who would choose a sterile product when there is a flavor explosion filled with aromatic and healthy nutrients! In seeds ground as whole grains, all the nutrients are present as a whole. It is quite challenging to find this in industrial flours sold in markets. The aroma and taste provided by the essential oils and nutrients that emerge during and thanks to this grinding are impossible to find in ready-made flours. We can compare this to the taste difference between freshly ground coffee and instant granule coffee. The relationship between flour whose grinding and packaging time is unknown and freshly ground flour is like a sliced and browned (oxidized and rapidly losing nutritional value) apple compared to an apple eaten by biting; as food products are fragmented, their contact with oxygen increases and they spoil quickly. Practically speaking, ungroung whole seeds can be preserved for much longer without spoiling. With Komo mills, you can finely grind all grains, legumes, spices, as well as small, oil-free seeds, and even coffee beans. The core nutrients and dietary fibers of whole grains, such as magnesium, iron, B vitamins, and valuable plant proteins, remain in the flour. Why don't you give your body the food it needs as close to its natural state as possible? Once you've tasted the difference, there's no going back!
Superiority of Komo in stone milling
Komo, which has been producing since 1985, exports to 65 countries today. All production continues with love in their own workshops in Austria, 85% of which is handcrafted by employees who are disabled.
Motor
At the heart of Komo mills is patented milling technology. All components made of wear-resistant materials and placed with millimeter precision provide a quiet, powerful, and continuous stone milling operation.
Stones
Our grinding stones are made from Corundum Ceramic, a material resistant to wear and that does not require sharpening. Discovered by us in 1985, this material is now standard in all Komo mills. These stones, produced from Ceramic and Aluminum Oxide, require no maintenance, sharpen themselves, and thanks to their super strong structure, machines that have not had their stones replaced for 30 years are still on the market. If a wrong product (such as oily seeds) is inserted into the hopper causing a blockage, it is not an issue; you can restore the stones by grinding rice on a coarse setting.
Long Life
All Komo products are designed and manufactured to work without problems for many years. All raw materials used are sourced from the strongest materials available and sustainable resources. To ensure the continuity of quality assurance, 100% of production is done in Austria.
Easy Use
Using Komo machines is extremely simple. After turning the knob and setting the thickness by turning the hopper left and right, you can start grinding or crushing. Without needing any tools, you can easily access the grinding stones for cleaning by turning the hopper two rounds to the coarse setting and opening the mill. To find its finest setting, first, turn the hopper towards the fine (fein) direction until you hear the sound of the stones rubbing against each other. Then, turn towards the coarse (grob) direction until the grinding sound stops. You have now found its finest setting!
Elegant Design
We care about the exterior of our machines as much as the interior, creating perfect designs brought by simplicity. Durability is valid for the materials we use externally as much as the internal mechanism. Solid woods used in local and quality furniture making can be sanded and oiled when required, regaining their new appearance.
Solid Packaging
After our products are produced with great love, it should also be possible for them to reach your home securely. We have taken all precautions to prevent any damage to this valuable product you will cherish during the shipping phase. Thanks to our packages made impact-resistant with special components, you can be sure that your orders will arrive at your home without any issues.
Which mill grinds what
With the help of these symbols, you can easily understand which food the Komo tool you purchased can grind. If there is a "*" mark in the table, it indicates that this machine can grind the specified seed. The sample seeds given are a small selection from the universe of food you can grind with your machine and are provided for guidance. Generally, you can grind all seeds that are not oily and moist with your mill. Oily seeds can be crushed by all crushing tools.
What materials can be ground with KOMOMIO?
Wheat, oats, spelt-dinkel, buckwheat, rice, barley, millet, corn, coffee, cumin, pepper, coriander, anise, or fennel and many spices. The mentioned materials are just a small selection given as examples and of course, the foods you can crush are not limited to these.
How to clean KOMOMIO:
Turn the hopper to change the 'Fine' (fein) setting to 'Coarse' (grob). Fill about 2 handfuls of rice and grind. If you will not be using the device for a long time, you can turn the hopper 2 turns in the "grob" direction and remove it, then clean all residues using a vacuum cleaner to clean the hopper and flour outlet.
