You can use the top plastic to adjust the saw tension. Check the saw tension before using the machine. If the saw is not sufficiently tense, it may slip off the pulley and you will need to reposition it. If the saw is excessively tense and an attempt is made to cut meat in an open position, the saw may be damaged.
