Fıscher Sharpening Steel, Black, Yuv 8, S1165, 20 Cm
The handle is plastic and specially designed for both right and left-handed users.
The handle has a special hand guard for your safety.
Made from special high-carbon steel alloyed with chrome, manganese, and silicon.
Coated with a hard chrome layer of 8 to 10 microns that provides corrosion protection.
The surface hardness of the edges increases between 3 to 4 HRC thanks to this layer.
Uses magnetization to retain steel particles within.
Does not leave any scratch marks on your knife.
Excluding the handle, it is a total of 20 cm 8' in length.
NOTE:
If the thickness of the sharpening edge, meaning the blade's edge, has become too thick, it needs to be thinned down to between 0.4 to 0.6 mm.
If the knife heats up excessively during sharpening, it changes the structure of the steel, reducing corrosion resistance and the hardness of the knife. For this reason, it may also cause the knife to lose its edge retention ability.
The sharpening process should be applied flawlessly from base to tip, forming a fine wire burr on the edge.
To finish the sharpening process, this fine wire/burr formed on the cutting edge should be removed.
If the burr formed on the edge is not carefully removed, the sharpness of your knife and its resistance to dulling can be significantly impaired.
The knife's surface should have a straight cutting line, and a notched or segmented edge can cause the knife to break.
Knives should not be exposed to high-corrosion substances like saltwater for too long.
