Magnetic field measurement is done in microtesla (µT) units. 1 microtesla (µT) is approximately equal to 10 milligauss (mGauss).
Electric fields are measured in volts per meter (V/m) and magnetic fields in microtesla (µT).
Measurement and Functions:
Electric fields originate from electrically charged objects, while magnetic fields are generated by electric currents.
The GM3120 individually detects the intensity of electric and magnetic fields.
When measured values exceed safe limits, the device automatically gives an audible and visual alarm.
Features include data locking and single-button radiation value locking.
The screen displays an animated graph that increases or decreases according to the measured value.
With the radiation evaluation feature, it provides real-time information on whether the magnetic and electric field values in the environment are safe.
Design and Usage:
With its stylish design, the GM3120 is easy to carry and user-friendly.
It offers practical use with its easy-to-touch buttons.
Application Areas:
Electromagnetic radiation monitoring:
Homes and apartments
Offices
Outdoor areas
Industrial sites
Electromagnetic radiation testing:
Cell phone
Computer
Television
Refrigerator
High voltage cables
Low-frequency electric fields originate from sources such as power grids and household appliances.
Current scientific data shows that short-term health effects of low-frequency EMF exposure are generally low.
However, long-term exposure can lead to some serious illnesses.
High-frequency electric fields (such as cell phones and wireless networks) can create thermal (heat production) effects.
Safety standards have been set to limit these thermal effects.
Non-thermal effects are still debated, and further research is needed.
Magnetic fields penetrate objects and the body more easily than electric fields.
Therefore, it is difficult to block magnetic fields.
Research has shown that prolonged exposure to low-frequency magnetic fields (such as power lines, household appliances, etc.) may be associated with some health issues.
However, current results are not conclusive, and scientific research continues.
