This penetrometer device has two different measurement modes: Real-time mode and Peak mode. The first mode is called real-time mode, where the values are continuously displayed on the screen. The other mode is PEAK mode. In PEAK mode, when the probe is pressed onto the product to be measured, the resulting value remains fixed on the screen.
This device is used to measure the firmness of fruits such as pears, avocados, peaches, nectarines, apricots, mangoes, etc.
The fruit flesh firmness at harvest time is an important factor that also determines the post-harvest durability of the product. Additionally, the change in flesh firmness is closely related to ripening.

By pressing the UNIT button for 4-5 seconds, the reading indicator of the device can be rotated up or down according to the position to be used.
