KC-321C thermo hygrometer; can measure temperature between -10 ~ +50 degrees with its internal sensor, and between -10 ~ +70 degrees with the externally attached probe.
The most significant feature of this thermo hygrometer device is its ability to simultaneously measure and display both the environmental and external probe's temperature values on the screen.
You can measure the environmental temperature and humidity with the internal sensor, and the temperature of the area that the probe interacts with using the externally attached probe.
With the KC-321C thermo hygrometer device, it is also possible to measure dew point, Wet bulb (wet thermometer), and ΔT (temperature difference).
With the external probe, you can measure the internal temperature of foods like meat, fish, and chicken, as well as other objects that won't damage the structure of the probe.
You can switch between Fahrenheit and Celsius temperature units using the F/C button on the device.
With the MAX/MIN button, the measurement value on the screen is fixed. When the MAX (maximum) option is active, the values on the screen increase when the temperature or humidity rises. The increase continues up to the final point. Even if the measured temperature and humidity values decrease, the value on the screen does not change and remains the same. In this way, you can see the last highest measured values. In the MIN (minimum) option, the flow is the exact opposite of the MAX option.
In the HOLD option, the value on the screen is fixed to the current measurement values without depending on the MAX/MIN value.
The external probe can be used in various sectors such as the food industry, HVAC (heating, ventilation, and air conditioning) systems, industrial process control, laboratory applications, medicine and health, automotive industry, energy production, agriculture, and horticulture.
The KC-321C thermo hygrometer device features a backlit LCD screen. For battery conservation, the light turns off after a while, and it turns back on when any button is pressed.
With the 10 cm long penetration probe that comes with the device, you can make temperature measurements more easily in small areas or narrow spaces.
What is Dew Point?
Dew point refers to the temperature at which water vapor in the atmosphere condenses into liquid form.
Water vapor in the air exists at a certain density depending on environmental temperature and humidity levels.
Dew point is a measure showing the relationship between air temperature and relative humidity.
The dew point of the air is the temperature at which water vapor starts to condense into water droplets or ice crystals.
Dew point temperature can also be considered as the temperature at which water vapor reaches saturation and becomes saturated with air humidity.
As the air temperature decreases, the dew point temperature also decreases. Similarly, as the relative humidity increases, the dew point temperature also rises.
Higher relative humidity ensures that water vapor reaches saturation earlier, which causes the dew point to occur at a lower temperature.
Dew point is important in weather forecasting and many applications requiring humidity control.
Meteorologists can predict the likelihood of condensation, precipitation, and fog formation using dew point information.
Moreover, dew point value is considered in areas such as industrial process humidity control, heating and cooling systems, agriculture, and agricultural irrigation.
What is Wet Bulb?
Wet bulb is a term commonly used in the field of meteorology.
Wet Bulb temperature is a measurement obtained by wetting the thermometer's sleeve with a cloth while taking temperature measurements.
This process is carried out by dripping water onto the thermometer's sleeve or wetting it with a cloth.
Wet bulb temperature is a value based on the environmental air conditions, especially the humidity level.
This value involves cooling through the evaporation process on the wet thermometer sleeve.
Wet Bulb temperature decreases as the surrounding humidity level increases.
Therefore, Wet Bulb temperature is used as a combined indicator of temperature and humidity.
Wet Bulb temperature is an important parameter in assessing the risk of heat stress exposure.
High Wet Bulb temperatures may indicate a dangerous environment created by a combination of high temperature and humidity.
This value is used in health, agriculture, energy, and many other sectors.
Wet bulb temperature is considered an indicator of the air's moisture content, and this information is used in climate analysis, weather forecasting, and climate change studies.
