The LS175 color meter is a portable device with a 20 mm wide measurement aperture.
Thanks to its wide aperture; it allows for professional color measurement of non-homogeneous, textured, or rough surfaces such as textiles, leather products, wooden furniture, and plastic.
The device features a 3.5-inch IPS color capacitive touch screen. The touch screen offers ease of use.
The 45/0 illumination geometry is based on the principle of illuminating light at a 45° circular angle and observing from a 0° vertical angle by the sensor. This minimizes surface reflections and color deviations, providing consistent and standard measurements.
LS175 includes multiple electronic color charts; it can quickly find the closest color code with over 90% accuracy.
The device has a QC (Quality Control) function. This mode allows for the quick check of whether the product is within specified tolerances by calculating the difference between the measured color and the target color using various color difference formulas (e.g., ΔE).
There are two modes on the main measurement interface: "Color Scan" and "Color Compare".
Different color spaces like CIE LAB, LCh, RGB, CMYK are available on the device.
Memory capacity; it can store 1000 color measurements and 1000 color comparisons data.
The sensor cap is also used for calibrating the device.
The AS7261 chip-level color sensor used in the device is provided by ams AG and offers high-precision XYZ tristimulus color sensing, accurately mimicking human eye color perception.
The built-in rechargeable lithium battery allows for 10,000 continuous color measurements on a full charge.
With the QR code on it, applications can be downloaded to devices with iOS and Android operating systems.
The LScolor app for smartphones and the Colorimeter software for computers can be used. Measurements can be made via a wired connection with both applications.
The device can also operate independently without connecting to any application or software.
