Atago 2313 Master-M Handheld Refractometer | 0-33 Brix

• Wide Measurement Range:
Can measure precisely in the range of 0.0 to 33.0 °Bx (Brix). Suitable for use in many areas, especially in the food and beverage industry.

• Metal Body Structure:
This model, belonging to the MASTER-M series, provides long-lasting use with its durable metal outer body.

• Manual Temperature Correction (No ATC):
There is no automatic temperature compensation (ATC). Therefore, it is recommended to balance the temperature of the device and the sample before measurement. Measurements taken at 20 degrees are considered accurate. Correction tables should be used when measurements are taken at different temperatures.

• Calibration and Clarity Adjustment:
Calibration can be done for high accuracy. With the clarity adjustment, the user can adjust the measurement area according to their own view.

• Ergonomic and Lightweight Design:
With its aerodynamic and compact design, it is suitable for hand ergonomics. With a weight of only 155 grams, it is very easy to carry and use.

• Prism Protection Cap:
The prism of the device is equipped with a protective plastic cap against impacts and scratches. Thanks to this cap, the device can be safely stored when not in use.

• High Japanese Quality:
Like all Atago brand products, it is manufactured in Japan and meets high-quality standards.

• Durability and Reliability:
With its durable structure and reliable measurement capability, it is frequently preferred by professional users.

How to Make Accurate Measurement with a Refractometer Without ATC?

  1. Balance the temperatures of the sample and the device by keeping them in the same environment (preferably 20°C).

  2. Drop the sample onto the prism surface; ensure it spreads evenly without bubbles.

  3. Adjust the clarity by looking through the eyepiece.

  4. Focus on the light-refraction boundary line and read the value from the Brix scale.

  5. If the measurement temperature is not 20°C, manually correct the value using the correction table:

    • Correction value is subtracted from the values measured in the range of 15–19 degrees,

    • In the range of 21–40 degrees, the correction value is added.

    • The measurement at 20°C is directly accurate.
