Also known as feed probes, this product is designed to send samples taken from bales for laboratory analysis. Using the correct straw probe ensures that the leaf and stem ratio of the bales is accurately represented, allowing for a comprehensive evaluation of feed quality and nutritional content.
The Wile straw bale probe is an essential inventory for farmers, producers, and sellers.
It is specially designed for taking samples from large bales.
A drill with a ½" or 3/8" head is required to take samples. It is not suitable for use without a drill.
The tube and cleaning rod are made of stainless steel.
Tube length: 51.5 cm (from the steel cap).
Cleaning rod length: 57 cm (excluding the handle).
It is an important tool for preparing balanced feed in animal nutrition; it allows for precise sample collection from bales.
Things to consider during sample collection:
Take random and plentiful samples.
Be careful not to contaminate the sample.
The preferred sample depth is between 25-50 cm.
Make sure the probe does not heat up during sample collection; a hot tube can compromise the integrity and moisture of the sample.
