Measurement Notes and Usage Warnings:

  • Before measuring in bales with thick wrapping, the wrapping should be pierced with the probe tip. The force applied during this process will not affect the density measurement.

  • The accuracy of moisture measurement can be negatively affected if there is a strong heating reaction (“sweating”) in the bale, the bale is spoiled, or the effects of preservatives are not fully balanced.

  • The probe should be kept clean and dry. This hygiene is important for measurement accuracy.

  • Other electronic devices that may be associated with the bale should be turned off during measurement. This prevents interference formation in the measurement.
