PCE-BTM 2000A Belt Tension Meter is a professional device designed to ensure belts operate at the correct tension level, used in industrial and engineering fields.
It measures the tension of belts used in machines, optimizing performance and preventing problems such as wear or belt breakage.

• PCE-BTM 2000A is specially developed to measure the tension and trum force in V-belts, timing belts, ribbed belts, drive belts, and conveyor belts.

• Its portable and user-friendly design offers practical use in industrial and mechanical systems.

• It measures belt tension quickly and accurately, supporting the safe and efficient operation of systems.

• Thanks to tension measurements, belt life is extended, maintenance frequency is reduced, and operational efficiency is increased.

• The device can measure both belt tension and trum force.

• The flexible sensor neck allows precise measurements even in narrow and hard-to-reach areas.

• With a 15-folder structure, 50 measurement values can be recorded in each folder. A total of 750 measurement data can be stored.

• With the "Units" option, International System of Units (kg/m) or American Unit System (lb/ft) can be selected.

What is Belt Tension?

• Belt tension is the tension force created by a belt between pulleys or sheaves.
• Correct tension ensures the belt transmits energy without slipping.
• Excessively loose or overly tight belts can cause slippage, wear, noise, and energy loss.
• Tension is a critical parameter for the overall efficiency of the system.

What is Trum Force?

• Trum force is the force created in the free section of the belt between two pulleys.
• It is usually measured through vibration analysis and is considered an important parameter in precise adjustments of belt systems.
• PCE-BTM 2000A measures this force in Newton and provides it to the user.

Measurement Mode Interface

• In measurement mode, the device automatically starts measuring when a vibrating belt is detected.

• By default, the measurement result is first displayed as tension in Hertz (Hz), and below as trum force in Newton (N).

• At the bottom of the screen, the belt weight per meter is displayed. This value can be specially adjusted for each belt. This setting is ignored when only frequency measurement is made.
