HOW TO MEASURE HARDNESS WITH A SHOREMETRE?
The measurement method is the same for all shoremetre devices. By pressing the device vertically onto the material to be measured and applying a certain force, information is obtained about the material's hardness.
Depending on the structure of the material, in other words, its hardness level, it should be decided whether to measure with a Shore A device or with Shore D, Shore C devices.
The thickness of the material to be hardness tested should be at least 6.4 mm(0.25 inch).
