Calibration Set (HI701-11):
The HI701-11 calibration set is used for calibration control and verification of the device.
Sold together with the HI701ST device.
Differences Between Free Chlorine and Total Chlorine:
Free chlorine: The active form of chlorine that neutralizes bacteria and sterilizes the water.
Total chlorine: Refers to all types of chlorine in water; includes bound chlorine in addition to free chlorine.
It is important to control free chlorine in drinking water and other applications as it can damage reverse osmosis membranes.
Free chlorine is commonly used for the disinfection of drinking water, swimming pools, spas, and vegetable rinse water.
