Loyka Milk Refractometer
The Loyka Milk Refractometer is an ideal device for milk producers and dairies to measure milk quality. It provides an easy way to analyze products in industries such as dairies, milk producers, and milk processing companies. It delivers accurate results to help improve your production.
- The Loyka milk refractometer is a precise device designed to measure milk quality, capable of measuring Brix values between 0% and 20%.
- The main purpose of this refractometer is to help determine whether water has been added to the milk.
- This refractometer model is typically used in industries such as milk producers and dairies.
- Besides milk, this refractometer can measure Brix values for other samples shown in the table below.
- No power source is required, and it is very easy to use.
- Make sure the prism receives enough light for easier reading of measurement results.
- Calibration is done with the calibration liquid that comes with the device, and focus adjustment is done via the eyepiece.
- This refractometer features ATC (Automatic Temperature Compensation) with a compensation range of 10°C to 15°C.
- Protect the prism from impacts and scratches; a scratch-free prism ensures clear and accurate results.
- For clearer and more accurate readings, clean the measuring prism with a soft cloth after each use.
- Accessories included: calibration liquid, hard carrying case, small screwdriver for calibration adjustment, plastic dropper, cleaning cloth, and user manual.
The refractometer is the most important tool for measuring milk quality during milk collection. It is used to detect whether water has been added to the milk. Typical milk Brix values range from 10 to 12. This refractometer allows you to measure the Brix value accurately and easily.
Typical Sugar Content Values (°Bx) in Solutions:
- A 100-gram solution with a 25°Bx value contains 25 grams of sugar.
- In other words, a 100-gram solution with 25°Bx consists of 25 grams sugar and 75 grams water.
How to Measure?
- Hold the refractometer by the body with the slanted prism side (where the sample is dropped) facing the light. With the cap closed, position the eyepiece near your eye and try to read the value on the measurement scale you see.
- If the values are not clear, adjust the focus by turning the adjustment ring located just above the eyepiece to bring the measurement scale into sharp view.
Zero Calibration:
- First, open the prism cover and place 1-2 drops of distilled water on the slanted prism surface, then gently close the cover. This creates a thin water layer between the prism surface and the cover.
- If the dark-light boundary seen near the zero line on the scale is not aligned with the zero line, use the calibration screw and a screwdriver to rotate it until the dark-light boundary aligns perfectly with the zero line on the scale.
