By purchasing the 8361 conductivity meter and 8685 ph meter as a set, you can get an idea about the hardness and quality of the water, and find out whether the water is drinkable.
To have a 100% idea about the quality of the water; you need to know both the ph value and the conductivity value of the water exactly.
With the Conductivity (TDS) meter, you can get information about whether the water is soft or hard, and with the ph meter, you can get information about the acid-alkali value of the water.
For the water to be drinkable, the tds value should be a maximum of 120 ppm. The ph value should ideally be between 7 and 8.5 for drinking water.
