The Hanna Instruments HI98304 Dist 4 device is a high-range conductivity (EC) testing device capable of measuring up to 20 mS/cm and is an ideal measuring device for various applications, including water treatment, boilers and cooling towers, agriculture, and general laboratory use.
The Dist 4 device measures EC values with a resolution of 0.01 mS/cm and with ± 2% full-scale accuracy.
The Hanna Dist 4 device can also measure the temperature values of liquids. It can measure in °C and °F units.
The Dist 4 measuring device is ideal for use in laboratories or in the field due to its easy portability.
This EC measuring device fits easily into the hand and is very easy to use for measurements due to its renewed ergonomic design.
An amperometric graphite electrode, which is resistant to oxidation and provides better repeatability in measurements, is used in conductivity readings.
The Hanna 98304 measuring device has only 2 buttons: an On/Off button and a calibration button.
Calibration can be done from a single point.
It has a large LCD screen, with 2 lines on the screen. The top line shows the conductivity result, and the bottom line shows the liquid temperature degree.
The temperature probe is open to quickly obtain the temperature result.
The battery status of the device can be easily tracked with the battery percentage on the screen.
The settings options needed to be made when starting the device initially include the automatic shut-off timing and the displayed temperature unit. The automatic shut-off options are to turn off the measuring device after 8 minutes, after 60 minutes, or when left inactive. To enter this mode, the user person enters by pressing a button located in the battery compartment.
The measurement range of the Dist - 4 conductivity meter is between 0 and 19.99 mS/cm. Millisiemens is 1000 times the Microsiemens.
How to Calibrate?:
It is performed by pressing the calibration button.
After entering calibration mode, the probe is immersed in the 12.88 mS/cm calibration solution.
When the standard value is recognized and the measurement is stable, the measuring device will automatically accept and store the calibration value.
