Why should we grind our own flour? Of course, it's cheaper than buying from the market, but nothing compares to freshly ground flour: Who would prefer a sterile product when there's a flavor bomb bursting with aromatic and healthy nutrients! All the nutrients in whole grains are present as a whole. It is quite difficult to find this in industrial flours sold in the market. It is impossible to find the aroma and flavor brought by the essential oils and nutrients that emerge during and thanks to this grinding in ready-made flours. We can liken this to the taste difference between freshly ground coffee and ready-made instant coffee. The relationship between flour, whose grinding and packaging time is unknown, and freshly ground flour can be likened to a sliced and left-to-sit browned (i.e., oxidized and rapidly losing nutritional value) apple and an apple eaten by biting; As food products are fragmented, their contact with oxygen increases, and they quickly spoil. From a practical point of view, whole seeds that are not ground can be stored for much longer without spoilage. With Komo mills, you can finely grind all grains, legumes, and spices, as well as small, oil-free seeds, and even coffee beans. Essential nutrients and dietary fibers of whole grains, such as magnesium, iron, B vitamins, and valuable vegetable proteins, remain in the flour. Why don't you provide your body with foods as close as possible to their natural state that it needs? Once you taste the difference, there's no turning back!
Komo's superiority in stone milling
Since 1985, Komo has been producing and exporting to 65 countries today. All production continues with love, handmade in their own workshops in Austria, with 85% of the employees being disabled.
Motor
At the heart of Komo mills is a patented grinding technology. All components made of wear-resistant materials and placed with millimetric measurements ensure a quiet, powerful, and continuous stone grinding operation.
Stones
Our grinding stones are made of Corundum Ceramic, a material resistant to wear and does not require sharpening. This material, which we discovered in 1985, is now standard in all Komo mills. Thanks to these stones made of Ceramic and Aluminum Oxide, which require no maintenance, self-sharpen, and have a super-strong structure, machines that have not had their stones changed for 30 years are still available in the market. If a wrong product (such as oily seeds) is inserted into the hopper and causes clogging, it is not a problem; you can restore the stones to their original state by grinding rice on a coarse setting.
Long Life
All Komo products are designed and manufactured to work seamlessly for many years. All raw materials used are sourced from the strongest available materials and sustainable resources. To ensure the continuity of quality assurance, 100% of production is done in Austria.
Easy Use
Using Komo machines is extremely simple. You can start grinding or crushing by turning on the button and adjusting the thickness by turning the hopper left or right. Without the need for any tools, you can easily access the grinding stones for cleaning by turning the hopper two turns toward the coarse setting and opening the mill. To find the finest setting, first turn the hopper in the fine (fein) direction until you hear the sound of the stones rubbing against each other. Then, turn it in the coarse (grob) direction until the grinding sound stops. You have now found the finest setting!
Elegant Design
We care about the outside of our machines as much as the inside, creating perfect designs brought by simplicity. Durability applies to the materials used on the outside as well as the internal mechanism. Locally and quality solid woods used in furniture making can be sanded and oiled as needed to restore their brand-new appearance.
Solid Packaging
After our products are produced with great love, they must also be able to reach your home solidly. We have taken all necessary precautions to prevent any damage to this valuable product you will cherish during the shipping phase. Thanks to our packages made impact-resistant with special components, you can be sure that your orders will arrive at your home without any problems.
Which mill grinds what
With the help of these symbols, you can easily understand which food your Komo appliance can grind. If there is an asterisk “*” in the table, it indicates that this machine can grind the specified seed. The sample seeds provided are a small selection from the universe of foods you can grind with your machine and are given for guidance. In general, you can grind all seeds that are not oily or moist with your mill. Oily seeds, on the other hand, can be crushed by all crushing devices.
What materials can be ground with KOMOMIO?
Wheat, oats, spelt-dinkel, buckwheat, rice, barley, millet, corn, coffee, cumin, pepper, coriander, anise, or fennel are many spices. The materials mentioned are just a small selection provided as examples and, of course, the foods you can crush are not limited to these.
How to clean KOMOMIO:
Rotate the hopper to change the 'Fine' (fein) setting to 'Coarse' (grob). Fill with about 2 handfuls of rice and grind. If you will not be using the device for a long time, you can remove the hopper by turning it 2 turns in the "grob" direction, and you can clean the hopper and flour outlet with the help of a vacuum cleaner to remove all residues.
