Notify me when its in stockThe Loyka 45-82 Brix refractometer is a binocular type measuring device capable of measuring Brix in samples between 45% and 82%.
It is generally used for measuring Brix values of highly concentrated samples. Suitable for measuring fruit concentrates, sugar syrup, jam, etc.
This refractometer is specifically designed for those who regularly and intensively measure concentrated Brix.
It does not require any power source and is easy to use.
Besides boric oil, you can also measure the Brix value of other liquids such as fruit juice and milk.
Ensure that the prism receives adequate light for easy reading of measurement results.
Zeroing is done with the calibration fluid provided with the device, and focusing is adjusted through the binoculars.
It has an ATC (Automatic Temperature Compensation) feature; the compensation range is between 10°C and 20°C.
The prism should be protected from impacts and scratches; clear results are obtained with a scratch-free prism.
The prism should be cleaned with a soft cloth after each use.
Accessories: Calibration fluid, hard carrying case, small screwdriver, plastic dropper, cleaning cloth, and user manual.
Common Sugar (°Bx) Values in Measured Solution:
A solution weighing 100 grams with a 25°Bx value contains 25 grams of sugar.
In other words, in a 100-gram solution with 25°Bx, 25 grams are sugar and 75 grams are water.
Hold the refractometer in your hand with the inclined prism facing the light where the sample is dropped.
With the lid closed, bring the binocular section of the device closer to your eye.
Read the value on the measurement chart.
If the value is not clear, adjust the focus by turning the adjustment ring on the binoculars.
Open the prism lid.
Drop 1-2 drops of pure water on the inclined prism surface.
Slowly close the lid; a thin layer of water will form between the prism and the lid.
Check the dark-light color separation around the zero line on the measurement chart.
If the separation does not align exactly with the zero line, adjust it by turning the calibration screw with a small screwdriver.
